Improving Notebook and Tablet Displays
Today, notebook computers are being used in an increasing number of applications. Consumer oriented models now sport displays up to 17.1" wide and feature TV tuners and DVD writers. Many of these models offer performance rivaling high-end desktop systems and are increasingly being used to play computer games featuring complex 3-D graphics. In commercial applications, especially those involving ultraportable notebooks and Tablet PCs, there are requirements for displays that are viewable in a variety of ambient light environments and have wide viewing angles.
